Amy has been teaching yoga for 13 years and founded Bend + Bloom in 2008. Her early days of teaching were balanced by her career in social justice and human rights organizing. Amy believes contemplative practices, like yoga and meditation, are essential components to transform our habits so we can build and embody new skills to manifest what we care about in our lives and the world.
Emily holds a B.A. from Wake Forest (’00), 700-hr holistic nutrition certification from Bauman College (’11), and 200-hr yoga certification from Shaktiyoga at Bend + Bloom ('16), with training in Restorative Yoga. Emily formerly worked for Gap Inc. and TIME in San Francisco. She is also a singer and has performed at 54 Below, The Fillmore, and the San Francisco Symphony. www.emilywadeadams.com
Since moving to Park Slope in 2014, Maddie has taken great comfort in the supportive, skillful and generally radical community at Bend + Bloom Yoga. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2016 with Julie Dohrman and is currently finishing up her pre-requisite courses for nursing school. Armed with a passion for integrative medicine and the power of mindfulness to heal, Maddie hopes to one day be prescribing yoga and meditation to her patients as an advanced practice nurse.
TJ is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology + Mind Body Connection at Columbia University. She is a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher with specialized training in Prenatal, Labor+Delivery, Restorative, and Trauma-Informed practices. She has utilized her Graphic Design, B.A. and Operations background as a Studio Manager at B+B since June 2013.
