Saysha Heinzman has been a teacher of movement for over 10 years, and is a highly sought after yoga teacher and strength coach in NYC.
Her constantly evolving classes are a reflection of her natural curiosity about the human form and a deep passion to help others find their maximum potential. Drawing from a diverse background that includes martial arts, strength training, theater and dance, Saysha combines a serious anatomical focus with a healthy, grounded sense of play. Influenced by both Eastern and Western medicine, she seeks to find balance in her teachings between developing physical strength and cultivating relaxation and contentment. She teaches a diverse family of students that include competitive athletes, people dealing with physical challenges, and children.
She is influenced by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, Tias Little, Liz Koch, Tara Judelle, Anodea Judith, Jason Crandell, and Richard Freeman. She is inspired by good music, bodywork, whole foods, psychology, science and sleep. In her spare time she is a competitive powerlifter and plays bass guitar in a rock band.
